(1933-2025)
Laura Jean Anderson, 92, of Sequim, Washington, died after a pro-longed illness in Sequim on December 9, 2025. She went to her eternal home in heaven while in the presence of loved ones.
Laura was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1933 to Paul and Freida Brenton and grew up in Florence, Colorado where she met the love of her life and husband of 70-years, Roy Anderson. Laura attended Colorado A&M (now Colorado State University) at Fort Collins, Colorado obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Home Economics that allowed her to enter the teaching profession of elementary age children for over 25 years in Texas, California and Virginia. She was a Master teacher, mentoring and instructing other teachers.
Laura is survived by her husband Roy Ward Anderson, Sr, and their three sons Roy Ward Anderson, Jr. (Camille Bonjean), Robert Brent Anderson, and Bennett Brian Anderson (Carolyn Anderson) as well as her grandchildren Jenna Anderson, Jared Anderson, Theodore Anderson, Sharus Huddleston, and Cheyenne Anderson, and including her step-great grandchildren Shani Darden (Sam Darden), Aaron Hayes, Jayden Hayes, Jackson Hayes, Tyrique Hayes, and Talyiah Hayes. She is also survived by another 4 stepgrandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life is being planned for January, 2026 in Sequim; details to be announced later.
