Milestone: Chorus aids food bank

On June 25, the Olympic Peninsula Men’s Chorus presented two concerts to raise money for the Sequim Food Bank Backpack program and to support ongoing chorus activities.

With the help of the local community, the chorus was able to make a donation to the Sequim Food bank of $830.

On July 26, the chorus presented Stephen Rosales with a “big check” for that amount. The group hopes to be able to make more contributions to the Sequim Food Bank in the future.

The Sequim Food Bank’s “Backpack” program provides youths with nutritious food for the weekend when they don’t have access to school lunch programs. The chorus is open to all men regardless of age.

If you are interested, drop in on a rehearsal, held Tuesdays at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave.
