Longtime Forks resident Lonnie Archibald has written another trucking book, this one titled “Keep On Truckin’ (More of The Lives and Times of Olympic Peninsula Truck Drivers).”

The new publication — similar to his last book, “Old Trucks and Gear Jammers” — includes stories of about 25 drivers who are either still driving on the Olympic Peninsula or who once drove here and are now retired.

Archibald, author of four local history books, gathered stories during interviews in the past year. The book also includes several photos.

Archibald will host a talk and book signing from noon-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Congregational Church located on Spartan Avenue in Forks, during the West End Historical Society meeting; the public is invited.

Two of his other books, “Here on the Home Front: World War II in Clallam County” and “Old Trucks and Gear Jammers” — will also be available at the singing.

In Sequim, the book can be found at the Sequim Museum & Arts, 175 W. Cedar St., and at 7 Cedars Casino. Port Angeles businesses carrying the books are Odyssey Bookshop, Port Book and News and Jim’s Pharmacy.
