Trinity United hosts Easter, Maundy Thursday services

Maundy Thursday and Easter services are scheduled at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

Commemorating the Last Supper, the Maundy Thursday service on March 29, commemorating the Last Supper, will be at 6:15 p.m., after the church’s monthly community dinner at 5 p.m. (For those attending the free dinner, reservations must be made by today, March 28; call 360-683-5367 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or email dinnerstumc@aol.com.)

The service includes the Trinity Singers, dramatic readings and communion.

The church sanctuary will be open from 9 a.m.-noon the next day, Good Friday, for prayer and meditation.

On Easter Sunday, identical services are scheduled at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. They will include the Trinity Singers, a brass quintet and Pastor Bill Green’s sermon, “Beyond the Silence.” Those attending are invited to place blossoms on a flower cross in the sanctuary immediately before each service.

Children’s Sunday School and nursery care will be available at both services.

Celebration of the resurrection

Sequim Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane, hosts “Resurrection Celebration!”, a musical program celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31. The community is welcome to listen

NewLife Church hosts Easter ‘dash’

The Sequim Newlife Church is hosting an “Egg Dash” at noon on Sunday, April 1, at the Sequim Middle School fields, 301 W. Hendrickson Road.

The dash follows Easter services that are set for 9 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. in the middle school cafeteria.

Easter egg hunt set at Elks Lodge

The Sequim Elks Lodge’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at 143 Port Williams Road.

The event is open to the public, designed for youths of ages 0-11. The Easter Bunny will be stopping by to greet attendees.
