Kaylee Dunlap, a sophomore at Sequim High School, was recognized on March 16 as the Sequim Sunrise Rotary Club’s Career Technical Education (CTE) student of the month.
She was joined by her mother, Brenda DeChant, and her grandmother.
Dunlap was nominated by Brittany Murdach, her biomedical science teacher. Murdach indicated in a letter that Dunlap demonstrates real grit and perseverance in dealing with difficult assignments, and that these traits will serve her well as she continues with future studies.
Dunlap’s interests include fashion, interior design and medical sciences. She enjoys crafting, baking, acting and playing tennis.
Upon graduation in 2020, she hopes to attend Wenatchee Valley College and pursue a degree in radiology.
