Enjoy meditation with crystal bowl music
Sophia Engkvist at Blue Mountain Yoga+ hosts a free session of sounds created by her 14 crystal singing bowls, from 7-8 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 803 Carlsborg Road, Suite D ($10-$20 donations are encouraged). Sing, chant and enjoy relaxation and meditation.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring mats, blankets and/or cushions. Seating is available.

OPAA sets meeting, special guest
The public is invited to the Olympic Peninsula Art Association’s June 28 meeting, set for 9:30 a.m.-noon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave. The presenter is Jan Dove, who produces artists books. She will show a few of her works that started as drawings in George Zein Studio and have progressed to artist books. She will also have some small samples of her figure drawings to give away. For more about the artist, see jandove.com.
This meeting is also the association’s summer potluck, so attendees are encouraged to bring plates and utensils; organizers will furnish drinks and ham.
OPEN fundraiser includes dinner-dance
The Olympic Peninsula Equine Network (OPEN), a horse rescue and rehabilitation organization, hosts a dinner-dance fundraiser set for 5-10 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Fox Bell Farm, 137 N. Barr Road, Port Angeles.
Festivities include music from the Buck Ellard Band as well as a live and silent auction.
Cost is $55 per person.
