Back to School Fair set for Saturday

The seventh-annual Back to School Fair is set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.

The event, free for Sequim families with children ages birth to 18 years to prepare for the 2019-20 school year, includes: backpacks; school supplies; books; food; child passenger checks; vision screenings; activities; school bus routes; free and reduced lunch information; healthcare; dental; hair trims; preschool & early learning, and more.

Attendees can sign up for free and reduced lunch rates, too.

Sponsors include the Sequim School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, Sequim Community Helping Kids, Castell Insurance, First Federal, Kiwanis Club of Sequim-Dungeness, Parenting Matters, Molina Healthcare, Soroptimist, Sunrise Rotary, Clallam County Literacy Council and Walmart.

Classes for most Sequim schools begin Sept. 4.
