Wellness forum to spotlight common eye problems, current treatments

Dr. Eric Van Orman presents “Common Ocular Conditions & Current Treatments” at the next WOW! Working on Wellness Forum set for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake a.

Seating for this free forum is limited, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Orman will discuss common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease as well as with the latest treatments for these conditions.

Orman has been practicing optometry in Port Angeles since 1998, providing eye examinations for glasses and contact lenses. He also offers his patients the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and co-management with local ophthalmic surgeons. He uses technology like Digital Retinal Imaging and Optic Nerve Fiber Layer Analysis to ensure the early detection and treatment of eye diseases.

Orman is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physician of Washington.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of the Dungeness Valley Health Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic. The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
