Commissioners with Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1 have shelved a Sequim-based project that would have increased the district’s renewable energy offerings.
Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is offering a five-week grief support group series from Aug. 29-Sept. 26. The group meets from 1-3 p.m. each Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.
Even people only somewhat familiar to the story of an American eight-man crew that took gold in the 1936 Olympic Games seem to be drawn in by that tall, lean, blond youth with the thousand-mile stare and heart-breaker of a back story.
It takes a village, the cliche goes, to raise a child. It doesn’t hurt if they have some spare time to raise that child’s new playground, though.
Louie Rychlik, a longtime Sequim businessman and volunteer, died on Aug. 9.
Assured Hospice and the Olympic Area Agency on Aging is holding free, community screenings of the documentary “Being Mortal.”
Registration for classes at Klahhane Gymnastics opened Aug. 15, with fall classes beginnig Sept. 6. Classes are available Monday-Saturday for children and youths ages 2-14.
