Traffic on U.S. Highway 101 is funneled into a single lane at Morse Creek east of Port Angeles on Wednesday. Active Construction Inc. crews working for the state Department of Transportation will close one lane in both directions of 101 during weekday daytime hours to allow freshly poured median curbs and gutters to cure in a project that will help seperate opposing traffic between Kolonels Way to Deer Park Road. Daytime work will last through mid-summer. Overnight lane closures for construction at Morse Creek will continue through the fall.
