On Feb. 1, certified physician assistant Stephenie Bennett signed on with the clinical staff at the Olympic Medical Physicians Primary Care Clinic in Port Angeles.

Bennett provides on-site clinical care and supports the care of OMP’s patients at local skilled nursing facilities.

“Our clinic hosted Stephenie as a student in 2009,” said clinic manager Lori Larson. “We found her to be very bright and capable. We are excited that we have the opportunity to welcome her back, this time as a permanent member of our team.”

Bennett earned her physician assistant credentials from the University of Washington MEDEX program in 2009. Prior to her new position at the OMP Primary Care Clinic, Bennett worked for the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, predominantly caring for Hispanic agricultural workers and their families.

“Three years ago, I completed a clinical rotation in geriatrics at the OMP Primary Care Clinic,” Bennett said. “I fell in love with the clinical work and I’m excited to be offered the opportunity to now work in that capacity.”
