Wine auction and tasting

Damiana’s Best Cellars in Sequim joins with Mujeres de Maiz to auction a bottle of 1966 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port to benefit access to education for indigenous women in Chiapas, Mexico. The two-week silent auction kicked off Tuesday, June 21, at 143 W. Washington St. On June 23, Damiana’s holds its last tasting of the summer from 5-8 p.m. Call 683-7697.

‘Around Again’ moves

Around Again, currently at 765 W. Washington St. in

Sequim, is moving to the former Olympic RV site at 22 Gilbert Road on U.S. Highway 101 across from Taylor Cut-off Road. The old store closes at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25; the new store opens at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. Donations will not be accepted again until July 6. To schedule donation pickup in July, call 683-7862.

Co-op raffle winner named

Michelle Urquia, 13, won a Deluxe Equestria Grooming Kit for her horse recently at the Horse Owners Workshop held at The Co-op Farm & Garden on May 21. She was one of many attendees who listened to expert speakers and then won prizes for attending. More than 100 people attended this event and in turn also supported FFA and The Pony Club as they had fundraising booths in the parking lot.  The Co-op Farm & Garden is at 216 E. Washington St. in Sequim.

Cameron’s Cafe has anniversary

Serenity House fiscal director retires

J. Scott Schaefer retired in June from his position as fiscal director for Serenity House of Clallam County, after five years during which the agency doubled its programs and grant revenues. He continues as a volunteer. Port Angeles resident Scott Price has been appointed finance director for Serenity House, after six months as business manager for the nonprofit.

New hours at Nash’s Farm Store

The Farm Store at Nash’s Organic Produce, 1873 E. Anderson Road, is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. The store is closed on Mondays.

Repair shops earn AAA award

Two Sequim auto repair businesses, Evergreen Collision Center, 703 E. Washington St., and Sequim Auto Clinic, 887 E. Washington St., have earned AAA Top Shop awards. The awards go to shops in the AAA-approved auto repair network based on customer satisfaction surveys.

Quality Inn names general manager

Chloe Fagg has been named general manager at the Quality Inn & Suites on River Road in Sequim, succeeding Nancy Schade. Originally from Texas, Fagg began work at the Quality Inn in Sequim in 2006 and served as assistant manager at Best Western Bainbridge Island before returning to Sequim. The Quality Inn offers special friends and family rates for guests of Sequim residents. Call 683-2800.
