ONP quarters at First Federal on Tuesday

First Federal has been named the sponsoring bank for the launch of the Olympic National Park quarter, slated for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Port Angeles City Pier. The bank will be in charge of a quarter exchange, in which individuals may purchase the new quarters. According to U.S. Mint guidelines, the quarters will be exchanged by the roll, with a one-roll minimum and a 10-roll maximum per person. Transactions are cash only. The exchange will begin immediately following the launch ceremony and will last for approximately one hour. First Federal has branches in Forks, Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend.

 

Persall joins McComb Gardens

Judy “J.P.” Persall joins McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, Sequim, as the cashier and a customer service representative at the nursery. A retired United States Coast Guard officer, Persall is an experienced gardener and landscaper and a member of the Community Organic Gardeners of Sequim.

Sequim free clinic adds board member

Margaret Preston, president of the board of directors of the Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic, announces that Monica A. Dixon, Ph.D., R.D., has joined the clinic board. Dixon brings 25 years of experience and expertise in health communication; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; policy development; grant development and oversight; and community-building. Her doctorate is in psychology.
