Art instruction classes

Upcoming “Smart Art Instruction” classes include “Facebook Marketing” from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, with Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond. The cost is $20.

She also teaches “Facebook Community Creation,” from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, for $20, and “Intro to DIY WordPress Websites and Blogs” from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, July 26-28, for $60.

Bead weaving

Bead weaving classes will be taught in July at R&T Crystal, 158 E. Bell St., Sequim.

Classes are scheduled 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through July 28. Students will make bracelets. Call 681-5087.

Heather Creek

Becky Owens is the new owner of Heather Creek, 122 W. Washington St., Sequim, as of June 1. She plans to continue to sell garden and shabby chic items and bring in new merchandise, as well as the work of a local watercolor artist. Call 582-9107.

Blue Mountain Animal Clinic adds staff, hours

Blue Mountain Animal Clinic now has three veterinarians on staff: Dr. Sharon Jensen, Dr. Meg Gordon and Dr. Nicole Burton, who performs orthopedic surgery, with associated rehabilitation at LaPaw Spa. The clinic also offers early morning and evening hours two days a week. Call 457-3842.

Practice moves to Sequim

Marilyn Beech is moving her Rolfing® Structural Integration practice to Sequim on July 15. She has been in practice at Willow Massage Therapy in Port Angeles for the past two years. The Quarry in new location

First Federal CEO named chairman of financial league

Levon Mathews, president and CEO of First Federal, has been named chairman of the Washington Financial League.

The WFL represents community banks of all charter types and sizes with offices headquartered in Washington. Mathews has been at First Federal for two years and has more than 26 years of banking experience.

Long-time and new employees at Hartnagel’s

Hartnagel Building Supply congratulates Kevin Hanson on his 20 years with the company. Hanson has worked as yard manager and is now sales person for the roofing division.
