Director appointed

Craig Curtis, design leader with The Miller Hull Partnership has been appointed to the board of directors at First Federal. “First Federal is pleased to welcome Craig Curtis to our board of directors,” said Stephen Oliver, chairman. “His expertise in the field of project management, team building skills and business experience will be instrumental as we continue our focus on commercial real estate and business lending.”

Open house at Hartnagel’s

Hartnagel Building Supply at 3111 E. Highway 101 in Port Angeles is hosting a free Roofing Day Open House from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 8. The public is invited to visit with local roofing professionals from Diamond Roofing, Earth Tech Roofing & Construction, Emerald Roofing, Campbell Roofing and SNS Roofing. They will answer questions about residential and commercial roofing, skylights, composite and metal roofing, torch down and flat roofs. Job fair set

The Home Depot is sponsoring the Third Annual Job Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. Businesses on site will be The Home Depot, Costco, Clallam Bay Corrections, Dungeness Memory Courte and Office Depot.

Board appointment

In December, Laurie Teitzel Stewart, president and CEO of Sound Community Bank, was appointed governmental relations vice chairman of the American Bankers Association, providing her with both a board and executive committee seat on the ABA Board of Directors. ABA’s board is the association’s governing body between annual conventions; it is made up of bank CEOs. Stewart is a 1967 graduate of Sequim High School.
