Jolie Salon plans open house

M.V. Coho takes annual maintenance break

Black Ball Ferry Line’s M.V. Coho takes its annual maintenance break through Feb. 7.

The ferry, which runs between Port Angeles and Victoria, British Columbia, will be out of service during this time to complete refurbishments and maintenance.

Regular service resumes on Feb. 8 when the M.V. Coho departs Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m. See www.CohoFerry.com for more details.

Fruit tree pruning is topic of free seminar

Chris Sexton-Smith will speak on “Fruit Tree Pruning” at 9 a.m. and at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, in Sequim.

Sexton-Smith is an instructor of horticulture at Lake Washington Technical College. He has a degree in ecology, is a certified professional horticulturist and is a proponent of an organic/nonchemical approach to gardening.
