Hardy’s hosts customer appreciation

Hardy’s Market 2/Texaco celebrates its Customer Appreciation Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at 33 Taylor Cut-Off Road,

Sequim, with live music from the band Old Sidekicks, free hot dogs/hamburgers and children’s prizes. A $2 donation for ice cream helps low-income children buy school supplies. Back-to-school fashion show set

Sassy Kat Salon and Boutique, 105 E. First St., Port Angeles, hosts a back-to-school fashion show from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. In conjunction with Teenie Queenie, Sassy Kat’s show will feature clothing for children and young adults — toddler through college age.

Barthell completes herbology coursework

Sidney Barthell, Licensed Massage Practitioner at Pathways Holistic Healthcare Center in Sequim, has completed her courses with East West Planetary Herbology of Santa Cruz, Calif., and will begin work for certification with the American Herbalists’ Guild. She has completed Reiki level I/II with Janet Goldenbogen-Self of Port Townsend. New hours for Sequim Dry Cleaning

Sequim Dry Cleaning and Laundry, at 225 E. Washington St., has new hours. Starting Sept. 5, the business will be closed on Mondays until the economy improves, say owners Ed and Nancy Weikal.

Hours will be Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m-1 p.m.
