Hospital Guild fashion show, auction set

The Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild’s Thrift Shop, 204 W. Bell St., Sequim, is open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, with all white-tagged items marked half-price. Wind Rose posts summer hours

Wind Rose Cellars, 155-B W. Cedar St., has begun its summer hours: 1-7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday, through October. The business also has added a bocce court next to the patio.

Lavender at Irrigation Fest

Cedarbrook Lavender & Herb Farm will have its products, lavender and herb plants at the Irrigation Festival/Merchants Street Fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, on Cedar Street.

Free child I.D. at appreciation event

The Sequim Home Depot’s third annual Customer Appreciation Event — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 5 — includes a free Child Identification Program along with free water testing, Kids Workshop, snacks, games and prizes. The Masons take fingerprints, DNA swabs, dental impressions and videos of children to be put in a kit for the parents. Permission slip is needed. The Home Depot is at 1145 W. Washington St.

 

Tender Touches Spa expands

Licensed aesthetician Mona Gates has joined Tender Touches Spa, 545 Eureka Way, Sequim. Services include the “non-surgical face-lift,” microdermabrasion, peels, anti-aging, rosacea and acne treatments. Barbara Brown and Gates offer Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup. Operation Smile donations planned

Susan Baritelle of Dungeness Kids Company will donate 10 percent of all business proceeds for this week to Operation Smile, an organization providing free surgeries worldwide to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial problems in children. Baritelle plans the donations to celebrate the anniversary of surgery which repaired her son’s cleft lip. Call Dungeness Kids Company at 582-1700.

International hostel opens in P.A.

Fresh Mix Grill-Mart sets summer hours

The Fresh Mix Grill-Mart, 300 E. Washington St., Sequim, has set regular hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. The business may expand summer hours and also is open whenever the “Open” sign is on. Peanut butter drive benefits food bank

Because peanut butter has gone up in price, Sound Community Bank sponsors a peanut butter drive in conjunction with the Sequim Irrigation Festival to benefit the Sequim Food Bank.

To donate, bring a jar of peanut butter to the Sequim branch of Sound Community Bank, 541 N. Fifth Ave., or to the Grand Parade on May 12. Sound employees in the parade will collect donations.
