Casino awards record jackpot

The Elwha River Casino has awarded its biggest jackpot to date, a $62,497.29 win on the Wild 777’s game, said Rena M. Barkley, acting director of sales and marketing. The winner asked that his name not be published. The casino is at 631 Stratton Road, Port Angeles. Call 452-3005.

Sequim branch ranked highly

Financial advisor Kristopher Henrikson and branch office administrator Patti Brandt at Edward Jones Sequim, 755-C W. Washington St., were ranked within the top 25 percent in the country for excellence in client service at Edward Jones.

The honor was based on the results of a survey in which random clients were asked to rank the service they received from the staffs of their local Edward Jones branches.

Jan’s Country Garden opens with vegetables, flowers

Jan’s Country Garden, 344 O’Brien Road, Port Angeles, is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, offering U-Pick organically grown vegetables, herbs and flower bouquets. Vegetables include lettuce, cabbage, onions, chard, zucchini/squash and beets, with peas, corn, beans and potatoes ready soon.
