Clallam Co-op sets customer appreciation day

The Co-op Farm & Garden holds its annual Customer Appreciation Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 14.

In additions to special promotions, the co-op will pay the sales tax on all purchases. Prizes, food, live music and a petting zoo are part of the celebration. The Co-op Farm & Garden, 216 E. Washington St., in Sequim, is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Call 683-4111.

Summer pruning session set

Christina Pfeiffer speaks on “Summer Pruning” at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, Sequim. Pfeiffer, a professional horticulturist and certified arborist, explains why summer is the ideal time for grooming, managing, training, removal and pruning. Bring photos and questions. Free blood pressure checks offered

Wright’s Home Care Agency Inc. sponsors free blood pressure checks from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St.; and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at the Sequim Safeway, 680 W. Washington St.

CPA practice at new location 

Marilyn Mantor, CPA, PS, offering Certified Public Accountant, tax practice and business consultation for individuals, corporations, estates and trusts, has moved her practice to 576 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

Northwest Home Gallery opens

Northwest Home Gallery, 258053 Highway 101, provides one-stop shopping for home renovation or new construction, including cabinets, flooring, countertops and appliances. The store also is the peninsula’s first retailer for Brand Source, a co-op buying program that allows small businesses to offer high-quality, low-cost and name-brand goods.

OMC Farmers Market extends hours

The Mini Farmers Market hosted by Nash’s Organic Produce at Olympic Medical Center, 939 Caroline St., is open from noon-4 p.m. each Tuesday, at the east entrance of the hospital. The market offers Nash’s vegetables, fruits, pork, eggs, whole grains, flours and field peas. 

Restaurant supply stocks Go-Green

‘How To’ clinics set for July, August

Sequim, hosts free how-to clinics in July and August. On Saturdays in July, there are clinics on interior paint (10 a.m.) and laminate flooring (1 p.m.). Closet/storage organization clinics are at 1 p.m. every Sunday in July. The Saturday, Aug. 4, Kids Workshop, making a cork bulletin board, is from 9 a.m.-noon. Each Saturday in August features clinics on installing a tile backsplash (10 a.m.) and cabinet transformation/wood refinishing (1 p.m.). A clinic in installing window treatments is at 1 p.m. each Sunday in August. Call 582-1620.

Adventure Route shuttle offered

Adventures Through Kayaking offers weekend shuttle service for the Adventure Route. Groups meet at the Adventure Route trailhead near the Elwha River on state Highway 112, leave their cars, load their bikes and take the shuttle van west to one of three drop-off points. Runners and bikers then have one-way cruise on the single-track trail back to their cars. Call 417-3015.
