New eye surgeon joins Sequim clinic

Northwest Eye Surgeons Sequim clinic welcomes Dr. Jack Tian as their new eye surgeon. Tian will join the regional medical eye practice on April 4.

“I grew up in Hamilton, New Zealand, before immigrating to San Francisco, and that’s why the Olympic Peninsula feels like home to me and my wife, who is from Vancouver, B.C.,” Tian said in a press release.

Tian specializes in cataract surgery, intraocular lens exchange, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and eyelid surgeries. Previously, he practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Astoria, Ore., and was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Casey Eye Institute of Oregon Health and Sciences University, where he taught cataract surgery to resident trainees.

“I am very excited to have Dr. Jack Tian, MD, join our team! We all felt he was an excellent fit as soon as we met him,” said Barbara Simcosky, the Sequim clinic administrator.

“He brings a progressive approach to purchasing, investing and selling real estate that only firsthand experiences can provide,” the business said in a press release. “Peter has been in the business of providing a service to communities and looks forward to building on his knowledge and professional craft to provide positive experiences for his clients.”

White Nunez came to this area with her fiancé in January of 2020 after living in Texas for 15 years. She was a real estate professional during the last five years of her stay in Texas.

“To me being a real estate professional means advocating for my clients, dealing with all parties honestly and having integrity in all dealings,” she said. “I became a real estate agent because I lost my first home in the 2008 mortgage collapse. If I can prevent even one person the pain I went through then I have done my job. I give to my clients what I didn’t get, education and advocacy. I fight for what is best for my clients and educate them on the process at the same time.”
