Windermere collecting food, supplies for OPHS

Each year, Windermere Real Estate agents, managers, owners and staff from more than 300 offices across the Western United States gather together and devote their workday to making a positive change in the neighborhoods they serve through local service projects and volunteerism.

For this year’s Community Service Day, Windermere’s Sequim East associates will be collecting food and supplies through Friday, June 10, for the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.

Drop off donations at Windermere Sequim East, 842 E. Washington St.

Olympic Ambulance donates vehicles

Olympic Ambulance recently donated five used ambulances that are scheduled to be introduced to hospitals and emergency medical systems in El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Guatemala and Honduras, the company announced in early May.

Since 2006, Olympic Ambulance has donated ambulances to “Food for the Poor,” an international relief and development organization in the U.S. that helps those less fortunate in 17 Latin American and Caribbean countries.

These ambulances are now on their way to Delray Beach, Fla., and will be placed on ships so they can go serve communities in need, company representatives said.
