Spirit Dog opens

Spirit Dog Wellness Center, nestled in a forested setting halfway between Sequim and Port Angeles, opened earlier this month, offering canine hydrotherapy services and serving as a sanctuary of healing and support for dogs of all ages and breeds.

Grooming services will be offered starting in July. Founder Jeni Ray’s other future plans include walking trails, a confidence course, daycare and partnerships with local rescues to support dogs in need.

Hydrotherapy sessions feature warm water massage, stretching and swimming, tailored to each dog, whether they are experiencing anxiety, aging, mobility challenges, weight concerns, chronic conditions — or even too much energy.

That’s a true testament to her leadership, dedication, and ability to inspire those around her here at the Quality Inn.”

Schleve, a Sequim native, has been promoted to general manager of the Sequim Holiday Inn Express.

Stayton said, “Shelby’s passion for hospitality and her dedication to providing our guests with the best possible experience aligns perfectly with the exceptional reputation of the Sequim Holiday Inn Express.”
