Lavender growers group is seeking volunteers
The Sequim Lavender Growers Association, creators and producers of this summer’s 18th Sequim Lavender Festival, is offering Lavender Ambassador opportunities to those interested in welcoming thousands of visitors who will spend all or part of the July 18-20 weekend enjoying the lavender harvest at the festival’s street fair near downtown Sequim and at the member-farms in the surrounding Dungeness Valley.
Various street fair and farm venue assignments and flexible hours are available.

Protze joins firm
Edward Jones financial advisor James J. Payton announces that Leif. E. Protze has joined the firm as a financial advisor, effective June 2. The branch office is at 154 E. Bell St., Sequim.
New summer hours at Wind Rose Cellars
Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., is changing its hours beginning the first week of June. New hours are 1-8 p.m. Monday-Wedneday; 1-10 p.m. Thursday-Friday; noon-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The bistro is open everyday for lunch or dinner.

Kayaks available at Crescent Beach
Adventures Through Kayaking now has kayaks and stand up paddleboards available for rent at Crescent Beach.The summer watersport rental facility has single person and tandem kayaks along with stand up paddleboards and all the equipment including wetsuits as well.
The stand up paddleboard and kayak rental facility will be open on weekends, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. through June 29. Beginning July 4 the on water facility will offer watersport rentals daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Call 417-3015.
Networking group meeting
BNI, a networking organization specializing in business referrals among members, is holding a New Chapter Seminar from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Black Bear Diner, 1471 E. Washington St., Sequim.

Sinclair Place hosts celebration
Sinclair Place, 680 W. Prairie St., Sequim, celebrates its grand reopening from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, with its assisted living residents and the Sequim community. There will be refreshments, door prizes and entertainment. The free celebration is open to the public.
