Beer event seeks sponsors, Sequimite joins Callis & Associates and Kott retires from First Federal board.

P.A. beer event sponsor seeking vendors

Food and craft vendors are being sought for Arts and Draughts “Fermentation Celebration,” a beer and wine festival Sept. 26-27 on Laurel Street in downtown Port Angeles. It will offer a taste of locally produced beers, wines and ciders from the Olympic Peninsula while honoring local artists and their works with exhibits, gallery tours and “art in the making” demonstrations.

The vendor fee is $75 for a 10-foot by 10-foot space. Deadline for applying is Aug. 27. To register for a vendor space, contact director@portangelesdowntown.com. Messages for committee members may be left at 457-9614.

Sequimite joins Callis & Associates

Callis & Associates Insurance recently hired Alicia Brown of Sequim in June as an executive assistant and receptionist in the Port Angeles office to better serve its growing customer base. The agency offers insurance to individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits all over the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California. The Port Angeles office is at 806 S. Kott retires from board

First Northwest Bancorp, the holding company for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Port Angeles, announced that Richard “Dick“ Kott will retire from the company’s and the bank’s boards of directors at the completion of his current term. Since joining the bank’s board in 1998, Kott has served on various committees and served as the bank’s chairman from 2010-2013. The board has nominated Dana Behar, president and chief executive officer of HAL Real Estate Investments, Inc. to fill the vacancy on the board of directors in connection with Kott’s retirement.
