Santa to visit Hardy’s

Santa is coming to Hardy’s Market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday,  Dec. 5. Get free pictures with Santa, hot cocoa and snowflakes of fun.


Free crafts workshops set

A Dropped Stitch yarn shop at 136 S. Second Ave. in Sequim will offer its annual free “Finish A Project By Christmas” workshops on the first Friday of December Art Walk. “Learn to Knit” offered by nationally certified knitting instructor and co-owner Nora Polizzi, and “Felted Christmas Ornaments” offered by renown spinner and felting instructor Lauralee De Luca, will be held free on a drop-in basis from 1-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4.

First Northwest Bancorp  announces new board member

First Northwest Bancorp, the holding company for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Port Angeles, announces that the company’s shareholders have elected Dana Behar to its board of directors. Behar also was appointed as a director of First Federal.

Behar earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Washington, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and completed the AMD program at Harvard Graduate School of Design. Behar serves on the board of directors for HAL Real Estate Investments, Inc., Capitol Hill Housing and Forterra.

Additionally, he serves on the advisory board of ULI Northwest and is a trustee of the Samis Foundation.


Holiday cheer, promotion at Wind Rose

Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Sequim, has promoted Angie Dickson to wine bar and tasting room manager.

Wind Rose Cellars is having a customer appreciation party from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, with live music from local talent Jeremy and Anna from Port Angeles. They’ll play a mixture of Christmas songs and non-holiday songs. There also will be an ugly sweater contest.
