Exercise/fitness talk set

Sequim Chiropractic is holding a special event at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 20, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim, to help bring awareness and strategies around moving well. The event is called “Move – Why the Shake Weight Is Killing Our Country,” hosted by Dr. Robert Bean, and will focus on exposing the community to the truth about exercise and fitness. Health talk scheduled

Join Dr. Ryan Iskenderian, a chiropractic applied kinesiologist, for a free health talk at noon July 21 at Sequim Gym, Sequim Gym, 145 E. Washington St. He will discuss and explain applied kinesiology and how it can help you and your family reach your health goals. Iskenderian is co-owner of Via Vita Chiropractic at 128 W. Bell St., Sequim.

Tax workshop set

To help business owners in Washington state know which taxes to report, the Washington State Department of Revenue is hosting a free workshop for new and small business owners from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, July 21, at the Clallam Transit System’s conference room, 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Participants learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. Attendees receive a workbook and helpful reference guide to Revenue’s rules and regulations. Attendees may earn one continuing professional education credit.
