Price Ford Lincoln fundraiser set for Sunday; new employee at Pondicherri; Local stores focus on helping pets

Price Ford Lincoln fundraiser set for Sunday

Price Ford Lincoln in Port Angeles is putting on its annual Drive One 4UR School fundraiser in Sequim High School parking lot from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, May 31.

This is the second time Sequim will be hosting the fundraiser. For each test drive, the Ford Motor Company will donate $20 per demo, (one per household), to the Sequim ASB, up to $6,000.

Over the years this fundraiser has generated over $41,000 for local high schools. Funds have gone toward the ASB’s orchestra, band, athletics and other leadership programs.


New employee at Pondicherri

Pondicherri, 119 E. Washington St., Sequim, welcomes Chelsea Winfield, who has lived in India, to its team. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.


Stores focus on helping pets

The Co-op Farm & Garden, 216 E. Washington St., Sequim, will have the Spay to Save Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic on Friday, May 29. Female or male dogs are $30; female cats are $20, male cats are $10 and feral/roaming cats are free. Call 477-0574 to see if you qualify and to schedule an appointment.

The Co-op also is hosting Peninsula Friends of Animals, a nonprofit, no kill, cageless pet sanctuary and adoption center, and other animal-related vendors from noon-2 p.m. Friday, May 29. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and distribute literature. Deborah White will demonstrate her “no-pull” Easyloop dog walking system Saturday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

On Saturday, the Rainbow Girls will be holding a pet food drive for the PFOA rescues at Petco, 1205 W. Washington St. in Sequim. Any amount donated will be appreciated.


Wind Rose to open for lunch, dinner

Wind Rose Cellars will be open daily for lunch and dinner starting in June. Hours are 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, noon-10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. It also has a new menu with a Northwest flare and beer taps rotate monthly. Wine tastings are daily.


Golf lessons offered

Bill Mair Heating joins chamber

Bill Mair Heating and Air, Inc., 80 Valley Farm Court, Sequim, recently had a ribbon-cutting ceremony upon it becoming a Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce member. Owners Bill and Anna Mair celebrated with chamber members, friends and customers with an open house and barbecue.
