Estes Builders managers complete training course

Patricia Mitts and Mike Lyckman, both managers at Estes Builders, recently attended a training course on developing trust and respect in the workplace.

Key learning points included understanding how to communicate with tact and finesse while using positive behaviors to gain trust and respect.

“Many different factors affect behaviors and trust,” said Mitts. “A day spent gaining skills to understand how and why people react differently to those factors aligns with our objective to maintain high levels of mutual respect while working with others.”

Estes Builders has a goal for each employee to take 40 hours per year of educational training in classes that pertain to the home building industry as well as working together as a team. The course was held by National Training Seminars in Seattle.

Founded in 1989, Estes Builders designs and constructs custom homes throughout the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas, including Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bremerton and Silverdale.
