Farmers and Artisans Market opens its season

Vendors within the Sequim Farmers and Artisans Market celebrated opening day on May 14 with a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Eleven-year-old Isaac Gonzalez-Tapia with Oceanside Nursery and Claire Unruh, 8, with Jembe Farms cut the ribbon with help from the market’s board president Rachel Anderson, executive director Emma Jane Garcia, and vice-president Eric Pickens.

More than 55 vendors set up at the Sequim Civic Center Plaza and in its neighboring parking lot each Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. through Oct. 29. For more information, visit
