Last year the association gave about 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to foster families, Robinson said. Most of the school supplies were donated through drop-off locations at Walgreens, Anytime Fitness, Sound Community Bank and All Safe Mini Storage in Sequim. The backpacks will be given to foster families at the association’s annual picnic at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at Lincoln Park in Port Angeles.
