First Federal Community Foundation presented a check for $5,000 to Olympic View Community Foundation to support the agency’s Alliance for Leadership Program’s Excelerator Initiative.

The initiative enhances the effectiveness of local nonprofit agencies through leadership training and the establishment of strong collaborative networks.

“Our local nonprofits will benefit tremendously from the ALP Excelerator Program,” said Karen McCormick, executive director of the First Federal Community Foundation.

“We are fortunate to have this caliber of training and networking available for our local nonprofit leadership,” McCormick said.

Since its 2014 Leadership Conference, OVCF’s training workshops have drawn more than 400 participants representing 110 nonprofit organizations.

“Olympic View Community Foundation is thrilled to have the First Federal Community Foundation as our partner in strengthening the Clallam County nonprofit sector,” said Sue Ellen Riesau, executive director of OVCF.

“The funding we received supports our ALP Excelerator initiative, a peninsula-wide effort to provide training opportunities and leadership development for local nonprofits,” Riesau said.
