On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Port Angeles Farmers Market will hold its second annual apple pie contest. Pies will be judged on crust, filling appearance/flavor and overall appearance by a panel of expert judges. First prize in the judge’s award will be a $25 gift certificate to the market. Judging begins at 10:30 a.m. and no pies will be accepted for entry after 10 a.m. Find entry forms on the market website at http://portangelesfarmersmarket.com.
