Tourism group seeks board directors

Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau, the tourism marketing agency for unincorporated Clallam County, is seeking to fill three positions on its nine-member Board of Directors. All three positions are open due to end-of-term vacancies.

The positions open are: Lodging, 10 rooms or less; RV Park/Campgrounds; and At Large-Lodging.

The positions will fill three-year terms, expiring Dec 31, 2021. Applicants must reside or do business in the unincorporated areas of Clallam County, outside of the city limits of Forks, Sequim and Port Angeles.

Applications should be received by Friday, Nov. 2, for consideration at the Board of Directors meeting on Nov. 19.

For more information or an application, contact bureau executive director Marsha Massey at 360-452-8552 or info@olympicpeninsula.org.

The bureau’s Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Wednesday, generally in the Port Angeles area, advising staff on policies, programs and promotions.

The bureau engages in many facets of marketing and has many local and regional partners. It also supports and administers the Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission, an eight-partner group comprised of the Chambers of Commerce and tourism marketing entities along US Highway 101 and US Highway 112.
