Windermere Foundation assists food bank

With help from the Windermere Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Team Topper — managing broker Carol Topper and broker Nelson Topper of Windermere Real Estate Sequim-Sunland gave $320 to Sequim Food Bank board president Stephen Rosales for operations.

The couple applied for a grant from the foundation, which gives money to low-income and homeless assistance programs.

Windermere Real Estate Sequim Sunland and Windermere Real Estate Sequim East are leading a community food bank drive 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at  the Sequim QFC and Safeway and at their offices. The event is part of Windermere’s annual day of service.

Windermere Sequim Sunland, 137 Fairway Drive, can be reached at 683-6880.

Rosales said the food bank is serving more than 300 families a week.

The Sequim Food Bank, 144 W. Alder St., opens 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Friday and Saturday and can be reached at 683-1205 or 461-6038.
