Cooper’s columns fair

I just want to mention that I find Bertha Cooper’s columns to be honest and fair. It seems that those who attack her views are extremely biased themselves, exactly what they accuse Cooper of being. A recent writer used as a source of his information Tucker Carlson. If that is supposed to be a reasonable source, that is really laughable!

Such wild unreasonable attacks are hard for me to believe. Then, I am reminded that 15 percent of Americans believe America is run by “a cabal of liberal elites who worship Satan and traffic children for sex and blood” (Aug. 15, 2021 review of a book on research on QAnon).

And some even believe those leaders may or may not believe they may be members of a reptilian race. Stop watching so many episodes of “V” to get your facts!

But, then I remember that means 85 percent don’t believe such paranoid nonsense. Much better.

And oh yes, getting a vaccine and wearing a mask to help keep us all safe is a public health measure and a show of your caring and support for your self, your neighbor and your community, not an attack on your freedom!

‘Stupid’

A one word response to “Mask mandate starts Monday” (Peninsula Daily News, Aug. 15, A-1): Stupid!
