Adventure Travel Series kicks off Jan. 3

The annual Adventure Travel Series starts its 2020 offerings with “Climate Warming and Travel: How Big a Deal Is It?” with Robert Larsen on Friday, Jan. 3.

No admission is charged for the first of this five-part series, held at 7 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.) at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

Cost for the rest of the series is a $5 donation per event at the door.

Remaining Adventure Travel Series presentations include:

• Jan. 10, “Arctic to Antarctic to Alaska: Sailing in the Wake of the Pacific Northwest Maritime Fur Trade” with Mark Roye and Nancy Krill

• Jan. 17, “Trails for Everyone, Forever: Hike the State with the Washington Trails Association” with Rebecca Wanagel and Alan Carter Mortimer

• Jan. 24, “Falkland and South Georgia Islands: In the steps of Sir Ernest Shackleton” with John and Mary Wegmann

• Jan. 31, “Both Sides of Everest” with Roger Drake.
