‘The Finger’ opens Magic of Cinema series

‘Backyard Birding’ series opens
“What Bird Is That?”, first in a series of Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society’s classes in “Backyard Birding,” meets from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, Railroad Bridge Park, 5171 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.
Bob Iddins provides information about getting started by choosing binoculars and field guides.
Cost of each session is $5, free for anyone under 18. After the completion of any five sessions, participants are offered a free year’s membership in OPAS. For more information, call 681-4076.
Computer tips, answers at genealogy meeting
The Clallam County Genealogical Society invites the public to its meeting Saturday, Oct. 13, at the First Baptist Church, 105 W. Sixth St., Port Angeles. Featured speaker is Juan Ruiz, owner of Askjuan computer services, on "Computer Research Tips and Tricks — Questions and Answers." JFFA sponsors ninja comedy performance
The Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts presents a performance by ninja comedy troupe Nanda at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave. With its "high-energy Kung-faux fighting and pop culture parodies," Nanda combines theater, dance, juggling and vaudeville.
