New bingo schedule set

The Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road, continues to offer bingo at 1 p.m. on Sundays and Thursdays but has discontinued its Tuesday bingo games. With the new schedule, 7 Cedars Casino continues to add dollars to every regular jackpot, give coupons to all who play and provide a free shuttle to the casino, with free parking at the Elks Lodge. Minimum buy-in for bingo is $10; players must be 18 or older. Refreshments are available and all proceeds go to the Elks scholarship program, charities and lodge operations. Small artworks make perfect gifts

Browse through gift-sized artworks (all 8 inches by 10 inches or smaller) at the annual Sequim Arts Small Works Show and Sale, Dec. 4-22 at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, with an artists reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

Book chat spotlights ‘The Namesake’

The Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., hosts a discussion of "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Copies of the book are available in several formats at the library or by request through www.nols.org. There is no fee and no preregistration. Call 683-1161 for more information.

Landings Gallery goes small for show and sale

The Landings Gallery hosts “Small Wonders & Tiny Treasures,” a miniature paintings art show and sale, through December to benefit the Port Angeles Food Bank. A reception is set for 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, downstairs at the Landing Mall, 115 E. Railroad Avenue, Port Angeles. There will be music, a no-host bar and burgers in exchange for nonperishable food items. Half of all show sales goes to the food bank. Call the gallery at 452-2604.

Play revisits ‘Scrooge’

Christian Readers Theater presents "The Gospel According To Scrooge" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at New Life Open Bible Church, 402 E. Sixth St., Port Angeles. The performances is free.
