P.C. hosts free holiday concerts

The Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble performs two free concerts for the holidays. The first, informal, concert is at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, on the stage of the PUB building. Jim Lynch’s novel “Border Songs,” set in Blaine, is the selection for the PALS book discussion group meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. Print copies are available at the library; the book also is available as an e-book and an audio book on CD. Winter crafting class offered at library

Get in the festive mood with a paper crafting program at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Participants will create a simple winter-themed greeting card, gift tag and a mini gift bag during the one-hour program. Step-by-step instruction is provided by Cathy Brancacio of Doodlebugs, a crafting and scrapbooking shop in Sequim. All materials are provided. The hands-on program for adults is free, but limited space means that preregistration is required. Call 683-1161 to sign up.

Art lecture set for P.C.

Oregon artist Laura Ahola-Young, MFA, presents a free lecture at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Peninsula College Little Theater, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
