Al fresco jazz on tap

The Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble invites the public to the Eighth Annual “Jazz on the Lawn” concert, at Peninsula College’s main campus, at noon Monday, Aug. 7, on the terraced lawn just east of Keegan Hall, and is free and open to the public. The band will be performing music by Dizzy Gillespie, Mongo Santamaria, Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson, Freddie Redd, Al Jolson, Spyro Gyra and David P. Jones, the conductor of PC Jazz Ensemble. For inclement weather, the alternate venue is inside the PUB on the PC campus.

Round Trip plays at Sequim Elks Lodge

Sunday, Aug. 13, from 6-8:30 p.m., Round Trip plays rock, county and oldies for the dance at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. There is an $8 cover and the dance is open to the public.

Irrigation Fest royalty to visit Sequm Library

As part of the North Olympic Library System’s annual Summer Reading Program, Sequim Irrigation Festival royalty will be presenting a special Princess Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9. Royal attire is encouraged for this special storytime featuring songs, stories and a craft. Bring your camera to capture one-on-one photos with the princesses. This event will be on the outdoor stage behind the library, weather permitting.
