PAFAC volunteer honored

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles will have its annual membership meeting and open house from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, and will recognize Vicci Rudin’s volunteer service as she retires from the PAFAC board of directors and chairman of the trustees.

Future of agriculture is topic

Studium Generale welcomes Peninsula College Foundation specialist Jennifer Santry to present a unique program titled, “Cultivating Students of Agriculture – Inspiring the Next Generation of Farmers.”

On Thursday, Feb. 5, beginning at 12:35 p.m. in the Little Theater, Santry will ask her audience to consider the role that students and community members can play both locally and even on the global level.

P.A. gun show set

Falcon Productions presents a Gun & Knife Show from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, and 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Port Angeles Masonic Lodge, 622 S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles. Admission is $6 for one day or $9 for a weekend pass. For more information, call 360-202-7336.

Photo workshops add slots

Because registration for the intermediate-level Travel Photography Workshop series was so brisk, organizers have made available five more spots for Session 1 on Feb. 9 and five spots for Session 2 on Feb. 16. Both are at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.

Cost for Session 1, “Ten Secrets of the Masters,” presented by DJ Bassett and held 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.on Feb. 9, is $75. Cost for Session 2, “Travel Photography,” presented by Seattle’s John Greengo from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, is $160. There will not be extra spots available for Sessions 3 and 4, organizers say.
