Grange hosts dance; Poet to read works; Tooth storytime at library

Grange hosts dance

Buck Ellard performs for the community’s dancing and listening pleasure from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at the Sequim Prairie Grange Hall, 290 Macleay Road. Cost is $10 per person or $15 a couple. Food is provided.


Poet to read works

This month’s Fourth Friday Reading will be at 6:30 p.m. July 22 at The Lodge’s media room, 660 Evergreen Farm Way, Sequim, featuring poet Bill Mawhinney. There also will be 5-minute open mic reading. Bring poems, short-short stories or memoir/novel snippets. Rehearse in advance, readings are timed. The event is sponsored by Writers on the Spit.


Tooth storytime at library

Preschoolers ages 3-5 are invited to hear toothy, dental-themed stories, learn rhymes about molars and make a craft with Dr. Kristi of Irwin Dental Center at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Port Angeles Library. Enjoy stories and sing rhymes during this fun storytime, part of the annual summer reading program at the North Olympic Library System. Attendees also will receive a free toothbrush! This program is one in a series of sports- and wellness-related storytimes taking place Thursdays in July at the library.
