Sarah Shea sings, library hosts sing-along, cannabis art show set and more.

Jazz at festival

Sarah Shea will be bringing her smooth song styling to the Sequim Lavender Festival Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18. On Friday she will play at the Main Stage downtown at the Street Fair from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and then again on Saturday at Jazz in the Alley from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at 219 W. Washington St., behind the BrokersGroup Real Estate office. Shea and her band will play selections from the great “American Song Book.”

P.A. library hosts sing-along

Gather friends, family and neighbors at the Port Angeles Library’s annual community sing-along at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for an evening of musical fun, treats and a special visit by the Port Angeles Fire Department. Attendees will have an opportunity to examine a real fire truck and visit with local firefighters. The library is at 2210 S. Peabody St.

Art show on cannabis set

RedHouse Press and Gallery is presenting “The Doobie Toke Invitational,” an art show about cannabis, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays, July 16-26, at 681 Lotzgesell Road, Sequim. Landscape painting class offered

Artist Robert Amaral will teach a landscape painting class from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 24, and from noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 25-26, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Fourth Friday Readings, at 6:30 p.m. July 24 at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way in Sequim, features published author and writing teacher Michael Bunnell.
