McCollum exhibits artwork

Artist Mike McCollum will display his art and furniture at Dungeness Design, 520 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, from 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16; noon-6 p.m. Friday, July 17; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 18-19.

McCollum’s diverse mediums include ceramics, drawing, painting and printmaking.

Elwha storytime set

Roger Fernandes, storyteller and member of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, shares stories about the Lower Elwha and its regions at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Pea-

body St. The Elwha Drum Group, made up of young and adult members of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, then share songs and drumming in the heart of the library. The opening reception for the summer Art in the Library exhibit will be held at 6:30 p.m.,

immediately preceding Fernandes’ performance. The summer art exhibit will be on display at the library through Oct. 6.

 

Rodlend hosts art show

Artist Carrie Rodlend will have an art show and open house from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at 562 Holgerson Road, Sequim, featuring many of her landscapes.


Carey novel is discussion topic

“Parrot & Olivier in America” by Peter Carey is the book up for discussion at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Copies of “Parrot & Olivier in America” are available at the Sequim Library in various formats, including regular print and audiobook on CD, which can be requested online by visiting the library catalog at www.nols.org.

All are welcome to drop in and participate.


Photographer featured in P.A.

As part the the Second Weekend ArtWalk in Port Angeles, Karon’s Frame Center, 625 E. Front St., Port Angeles, will feature art by award-winning photographer Marilyn Santiago from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 10.


Fourth Friday Reading set
