Collagraphs, accordions and more set for the Sequim area

Artist shows how to make collagraphs

Artist Loreen Matsushima will present her collagraph demonstration during the Second Weekend ArtWalk from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Karon’s Frame Center, 625 E. Front St., Port Angeles.

Rudolf’s art on display

Shirley Rudolf is displaying her acrylics and watercolors at 1st Security Bank, 114 S. Sequim Ave. Subjects encompass landscapes and floral. She has been painting more than 20 years. Her display will be up through August. See www.shirleyrudolf.com.

Famous accordionist coming to grange

The Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, Sequim, presents accomplished accordionist Gary Blair, from Glasgow, Scotland, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22. Blair has competed in and won scores of accordion competitions and is highly sought after as a competition adjudicator. His styles include dance, popular, classical, Celtic and traditional accordion tunes. A donation of $7 at the door is suggested.

Patriotic concert set

The Sequim City Band will put on its 25th Patriotic 4th of July concert from 3-5 p.m. Monday, July 4, at James Center for the Performing Arts in Carrie Blake Park.

Kesey book topic of library talk

“Sometimes a Great Notion” by Ken Kesey is the book up for discussion at
