Get ‘Foolish’ at Friday’s story slam

The Out Loud Story Slam is back at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 29.

The event’s theme is “Foolish” and will be co-hosted by Nessa Goldman and Meredith Vincent. They’ll be looking for 10 storytellers from the audience to share a 5-minute true, personal story on the theme. Audience members will share their stories of when they acted foolishly.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. in the OTA Gathering Hall. Tickets are $15 online at olympictheaterearts.org, or $20 at the door if available.

Storytellers are judged by the audience, but the event is all in the spirit of sharing, organizers say. Tellers prepare their best stories, and winners will go on to participate in a Grand Slam competition.

Audience members can also participate anonymously, or just enjoy the tales of the evening.

Those interested in telling, or have been thinking about telling and would like a little more guidance, are encouraged to contact Out Loud Story Slam organizers at at outloudstoryslam@gmail.com.
