Call for poets

The 2016 Rainshadow Poetry Competition is accepting works from poets — both adults and youths — in Clallam and Jefferson counties, with winning poems to be published in the “2nd Annual Rainshadow Poetry Anthology.” Submit works by Jan. 22, 2016. Accordion social set

The Sequim Accordion Social will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St., Sequim. A $2 admission is requested at the door to pay for the room. The featured player is Andy Mirkovich of Seattle. Players of any level are welcome to bring their accordion and songs to play; accordion lovers are invited.

Family Flicks at library

The popular Family Flicks movie series continues Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., with “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” starting at 2 p.m. Offered the first Saturday of every month from October-April, Family Flicks provides family entertainment, popcorn and movie trivia for free.
