Spooky story contest
The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is hosting a Two-Sentence Spooky Story Contest for Clallam County students in grades 4-7. Chilling short stories, just two sentences long, must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. One submission per child will be accepted.
Each branch will select one grand prize winner and two runners-up. Grand prize winners will receive a $25 gift card to a local business and runners-up will receive a notebook and pen. Entries will be judged anonymously and scored by a panel of library staff based on creativity, command of language, voice and technique.
Contest entries are accepted at any NOLS branch, the Bookmobile, or by online form. For more information and a submission form, visit NOLS.org/contest or stop by the library. Email youth@nols.org with any questions. This program is generously supported in part by local Friends of the Library groups.
