Archibald is featured at Sequim & Arts Exhibit Center on Art Walk

Lonnie (Dunlap) Archibald will be at the Sequim & Arts Exhibit Center on Cedar Street during First Friday Art Walk on April 3, to sign copies of his new book entitled, "Here on the Home Front."

Lonnie (Dunlap) Archibald will be at the Sequim & Arts Exhibit Center on Cedar Street during First Friday Art Walk on April 3, to sign copies of his new book entitled, “Here on the Home Front.”

The book records history of the what the people of Clallam County experienced during World War II.

Archibald was born in Carlsborg in 1942, attended Sequim schools, was active in sports and scouts before moving to Forks in 1957. After college, he married Marge Anders of Sequim returned to Forks where they raised two sons, Lynn (Oly) and Brad, near the Sol Duc River.

Retired from telecommunications, Archibald now writes for a number of outdoor magazines as well as the Forks Forum. Also a freelance photographer, his photos have been published in various Olympic Peninsula newspapers, The Seattle Times, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Associated Press, visitor guides, magazines, brochures and calendars.

His first book, “There was a Day, Stories of the Pioneers,” can be found in the North Olympic Library.
